Strong winds slap a face,
shook past painful memories.
Hardened heart still breathes.

Lashing, howling winds,
wail through failed regretful years.
Split hope in one’s ears.

Tropical cyclones,
destructively come and go,
Determined hearts bear.

Fatal hurricane,
wrecking havoc, houses crushed.
Tenacious hearts beat.

Storms hitting our lives,
do not break flexible guts.
Patient hands rebuild.

Sun shines once again,
Embrace warm hopeful vigor.
Thank you for helping.

Calmness of spirit,
during and after the storm.
Build united strength.
